Cleaner Energy

One often overlooked method for making great improvements right now with currently available technology is through conversion from dirtier fuels such as coal or oil over to natural gas. Obviously this solution is not perfect but it is a tremendous improvement and it is available right now. Some day we may have clean coal when technology catches up but right now there is no such thing as clean coal and it will not be available for a long time. Many laud carbon capture as a great improvement. But, right now we can use natural gas rather than coal and dramatically reduce the carbon output without cost prohibitive technology that could cause soaring power bills for all of us. Less carbon input is much less costly than trying to recapture the carbon after combustion.

There is a new fuel cell product recently introduced to the market. This device does not require raw hydrogen. Instead it can be fueled by biogas, natural gas, propane or one of several other alternatives. This allows for reliable power generation without running high tension lines accross the countryside. Also, sense the energy is released where it is used there is no transmission line waste. Less waste means less fuel consumed and less discharge. This can take the place of power plants that are currently burning coal and/or natural gas. This product is called the "Bloom Box".
